I’m so proud of my wife!
paul is wondering about the next step. How do I translate the sense of purpose and direction I felt in the combat zone into meaning in my 'regular' life?

I would like to comment about these law makers trying to stop a national guard unit from deploying overseas to Iraq or Afghanistan …. I THINK ITS A LOAD OF CRAP ….. To me your basically spitting in the faces of the SOLDIERS of the National Guard whom may have already been there or are fixing to deploy there …. Why should we not deploy the National Guard ? … Did they not deploy to WWII ? … What is the difference between being an active duty soldier , or a soldier that serves his state and his country, not to mention his job ? … I think the american people have forgotten that these SOLDIERS signed up for a reason , and that reason is TO SERVE THEIR COUNTRY…. Some will make it back and others will not …. That is war… I have a family myself that consists of My wife and the two most wonderful children anyone could ever ask for …. I have no complaints as an active duty NATIONAL GUARDSMAN whom has already been their as 11B and am now about to deploy again … So To Whom It May Concern about not sending national guardsmen to Iraq , I think that you may need to stop and think about why your here and who has made it for you to live your good life .. It was NOT you that did it , but the sacrifice of all those brave american heroes who have put their lives on the line to put you here , so stop trying to change things that were set before you were even thought of …. It is them that give you the right to even consider not deploying them …. I think that it is time for america to wake up , and realize no matter what ANYONE , or ANYTHING for that matter can change the fact that these boys and girls signed to serve their country and that is just EXACTLY what they will do …. Thanks for hearing my thoughts ….
